Neighbors Ready! is a grassroots group of volunteers who are helping neighbors by offering educational events, information, and a variety of opportunities to learn about easy ways you can prepare for emergencies and disasters. Your participation will make a difference in your life, as well as the lives of many others--your family, your neighbors, and your community. By participating, you are creating more caring, connected, and resilient neighborhoods. You'll make new friends, learn a lot, and have fun doing it. Our volunteers come from all walks of life--neighbors who want to make a difference, learn, and get involved. We encourage people to join who are passionate about our mission to create to create caring, connected, and resilient neighborhoods. Why wait for a disaster to get to know your neighbors?
Many of our roles require no experience at all; you learn as you go from our more experienced members, such as those coming from Quake Up, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and other community organizations. If you want to focus first on getting your family, your block, or neighborhood organized, we can help facilitate and train you and your group. Contact us. |

The time you commit depends on your schedule and the role you play on our team. We have roles on our Leadership team that involve a weekly meeting over Zoom. If you join our Community Events team, your time commitment is on an as needed basis, showing up to support our outreach efforts. Check out our volunteer roles and positions information sheet.
